SANSKRIT SPEAKING UNION BILL IN MAURITIUS

" The Sanskrit Speaking Union Bill passed in Mauritius National Assembly in June,2012 is a great event in recent history of Sanskrit outside India.I must congratulate all those behind this, conceiving the idea and seeing it through the national body.

What I find now is that Sanskrit has shown not only her infinite longevity, but also her exuberant liveliness and innovative character lending ideas and idioms to the world at large !

I shall keenly look forward to see that this is not merely a political statement but it works out to be a real issue to raise a language to lead a people to greater good and cultural values of perennial nature.

Sanskrit I would like to see as a global lingua franca growing from strength to strength ! "
