The Aim We Cherish

" The aim of civilization is to create a moral man,of culture holding onto deeper benign roots,of religion to be tuned to God manifest or unmanifest, and of spirituality to realize identity with or proximity to God and do good eternally. "

  1. Only a cultured human being knows the meaning of being human always,in all ways and walks of life; whereas a civilized human need not necessarily be a refined being.A good physicist need not be a good human being. Hence the great Rishis of BhArat provided the program of intergenerational culture transfer through "samskAras". A civilization devoid of this would perpetuate only barbarian culture(?).

  2. Yes,you are highly correct.I appreciate the vein in which you speak.
I have been with civilized atheists and hedonists and know how superficial their beings could be and how at small things would they stoop so low.But see our Shamika sage admonishing his son ShriNgin on cultured conduct and forbearance of a brahmin !
And this comes from samskaaras reinforcing of which will be a task for humanity to harvest lasting peace and meaningful progress.
Bhaarat still stands and shall always stand to teach the world the golden rules of true material and spiritual ends of life ! S M Mishra
